Privacy Policy
ParcelOS works by reading shipping emails you choose to send us. This page says exactly what that means — in plain language.
What we collect
Forwarded emails. When you forward a shipping confirmation to your ParcelOS address, we receive a copy of that message and any attachments. We use it to find the tracking number, identify the carrier, and link the parcel to your account.
Account information. Your name and email address, plus the personal forwarding address we assign to you.
Parcel data. The tracking number, carrier, item description where available, status history and estimated delivery date.
What we do with it
Detect the carrier, fetch tracking updates from that carrier, show you the status, and send you the alerts you asked for (email, and push if you enable them).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the contents of your forwarded emails to build advertising profiles.
Only what you send us
ParcelOS never reads your mailbox. Nothing is imported automatically — we only see a message when you forward it to your ParcelOS address yourself. You stay in control of your inbox.
How long we keep it
We keep parcel records so your history stays available, and we keep the forwarded message only as long as needed to extract and verify the tracking information. Delete a parcel and its record goes with it.
Sharing with carriers
To show you live tracking, we send the tracking number to the carrier that holds the parcel. That is the whole of it — carriers do not get your account details or your email.
Security
Forwarding addresses are private to you and can be rotated from your account if a message ever reaches the wrong place. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
Your choices
You can stop forwarding at any time, delete individual parcels, close your account, or ask for a copy of what we hold. Write to support@parcelos.io and we'll handle it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect. Last updated October 2026.
